Vice President of Business Development – Enterprise Information Systems

We specialize in developing turnkey software/hardware systems to address complex challenges with a focus on multiple industries including, but not limited to, rail, oil and gas, law enforcement, among others. Our proprietary applications include video analytics based security applications, intelligent process controls, and information technologies for a wide range of global customers.

The Vice President of Business Development position reports to the Chief of Sales and is responsible for establishing the business unit’s sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for growth of the Enterprise Information System division as well as advancing various components of the team
  • Responsible for the internal enterprise application systems designed and developed for marketing and production purposes
  • Responsible for directing all business development activities of the company
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans, direct forecasting activity, and represent the company at trade shows
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with team representatives, meet with key clients to maintain relationships and negotiate and close deals
  • Develops annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives
  • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices
  • Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketing
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Implements approved distribution strategies
  • Manages multiple channel selling strategies
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiative
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field
  • 5-10 years of sales management experience

Travel
This position requires frequent travel, more than 50%. Most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel is international.
