The Collision Alert Monitoring and Impact Analysis
camia®
system is an engineered solution to detect, measure, and document the impact of a passing vessel’s collision with a bridge or related structure.
camia® uses advanced technologies to measure and record collision impact, identify the responsible vessel, and document the damage.
camia®
system records live data and video of the collision event and simultaneously transmits the information to a command center or to designated personnel.
camia®
includes the following capabilities:
-
Detects an approaching vessel using intelligent video analytics and high-resolution cameras to create a virtual trip wire
-
Activates the system upon vessel detection to initiate video recording and data collection by a group of cameras and sensors on the bridge
-
Uses shock/vibration sensors mounted on the bridge pilings to measure the strength (G-Force) of the collision and its degree of impact
-
Activates additional cameras upon impact to capture images of the colliding vessel (including identifying marks)
-
Transmits a collision alert and uploads video images and impact data for remote evaluation of bridge condition
-
Saves all images and data to a time-stamped forensic file
Deployment of camia®
provides a way to ensure the structural integrity of critical assets,
while enabling the owner of a structure to successfully pursue a claim for damages, following a collision.
camia®
is also available as a self-contained, fully integrated mobile platform.
Application:
Railroad, Maritime Security, Transportation.
